Credits: how paid deep checks are priced

What a credit is, what each section of a deep check costs, what each plan includes, how top-ups are priced, and how to read your balance from the API or MCP.

Credits pay for paid deep checks of any domain you type. They are separate from reveals: a reveal discloses a masked name in the directory, a credit buys a report. Reading your balance, your history and your past checks is always free.

At the base rate, 1 credit is $0.01. Every price and grant on this page is read from Revised’s own configuration, and GET /api/v1/credits reports the live numbers, so read them there rather than hard-coding this page.

What a deep check costs

A deep check covers one domain, in up to four sections. Each is priced separately and charged only when it completes. A section that fails is refunded in full.

SectionCredits

referring_domains40
backlinks40
anchors30
All four140

Sections run in priority order: overview, referring domains, backlinks, anchors. A saved check of the same name from the last 7 days is returned for 0 credits, and sections you already paid for in that window are not charged again.

The check reads only the name you send, never the directory, so the report is the same whether or not the name is listed. See Checks on any domain.

Price first, then spend

A request without confirm: true spends nothing. It answers confirmation_required with the price, whether your balance covers it, and a topup_url. Only a request with confirm: true and an Idempotency-Key runs the check and spends credits. A retry with the same key never charges twice.

If your balance covers only some sections, those run and the response reports a clamp. If it covers none, the answer is 402 insufficient_credits with required, balance and topup_url.

While a check runs, the credits it needs are held in a pending reservation, so available can be lower than balance. A reservation is released after 15 minutes if it is not used.

What each plan includes

PlanCredits
Free150, once, on signup
Starter1,000 a month
Business10,000 a month

Monthly credits expire at the end of the period. Credits from a top-up never expire. Free signup credits are for new accounts only and are subject to abuse checks.

Top-ups

A top-up is a single payment of whole dollars from 10to10 to 2,000. The more you pay in one payment, the more credits each dollar buys. The tier is chosen by the size of that one payment, not by your running total.

Single payment of at leastCredits per dollar

$100110
$250125
$500140
$1,000160
$2,000175

POST /api/v1/credits/topup returns a checkout url for a person to open and pay; no card passes through the API, and an agent cannot top up. Credits arrive when the payment is confirmed. A top-up call creates a checkout session each time, so it is limited to 5 a minute per account.

Refunded monthly credits that have no live period to return to expire after 7 days. They are never turned into permanent credit.
