How the directory works: plans, reveals, exports, and how every listing is verified.
What do I get on each plan?
Every plan sees the whole directory, searches it, filters it, and gets an API key. What changes is how many names you can reveal, how fast you may ask, and whether you get export, saved views and the change feed.
What can I see of the domain name before I reveal it?
Its true length, first letter, last letter or final word, and any hyphens, plus every metric on the listing. Only the middle is masked.
What happens when I reveal a domain?
The full name appears and one reveal comes off your monthly allowance. Re-opening the same listing later is free.
Why aren't full domain names shown to everyone?
Published names get scraped and copied wholesale. You still see the name's real shape, plus every metric on the listing.
Do I need an account?
Not to browse. Every listing and every metric is open to anyone. You need a free account to reveal a name, because reveals are counted per account.
How many domains can I reveal?
5 a month on Free, 30 on Starter, 250 on Pro. Business has no reveals and sees every name. Open listings need no reveal at all, and a listing you have already revealed never costs a second one.
Do you sell or register the domains?
No. Revised is a directory. We never hold, register or deliver a domain, so nothing you read here is written to move stock we own.
How current is the availability data?
Every listing carries the timestamp of its last availability check, so you can see how fresh the answer is before you act on it.
How do I point my new domain at my site?
Either redirect it to your main site or build on it directly. Both are standard DNS work, and neither of them happens here.
Does a revealed name stay revealed?
Yes. A reveal is counted once per listing, per account, and re-opening it later never costs a second one, even on a different plan.
What happens to my reveals if I cancel?
Names you already revealed stay revealed. Your monthly allowance drops to the free tier at the end of the period you have paid for.
Can I use this data in my own product?
Internally, yes, on any plan. Redistributing the directory or reselling it as a feed needs the Business plan and a conversation with us first.
What does "Est. value" mean on a listing?
A model estimate of what the domain is worth, from its verified metrics. It is not an asking figure. Nothing in this directory is for sale.
What's your refund policy?
Cancel any time and you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for. If Revised was broken for you, tell us and we'll sort it out.
What metrics do you use to verify domain quality?
Revised Score, referring domains and who they are, site history and age, spam screening. All of it verified before a domain is listed.
What is Revised Score?
A 0–100 grade blending link-graph centrality, referring domains, and site history into one comparison point, relative to the whole directory.
How do you find and verify these domains?
Every listing is checked before it goes live: site history, referring domains, spam screening. Anything that fails is dropped, not listed.
Is it safe to build on an expired or aged domain?
Yes, as long as the domain has a clean history. That's exactly what we check before anything gets listed.
Can I filter listings to find what I need?
Yes. Filter by extension, estimated-value range, and minimum Revised Score, sort by score or value, or browse by the sources that link to a domain.
Which TLDs are available?
Around three dozen extensions. Most listings are .com, with solid depth in .org, .net, .io, .co.uk, .co, .com.au, .me, .app and .dev.
Will there be domains relevant to my industry?
Often, though you're better off judging by a domain's linking sources than by an industry label. Most listings don't carry one.
Are there domains suited for e-commerce or product sites?
Yes, though the category filter is a poor way to find them. A domain's linking sources tell you far more about whether it suits a retail site.
Can I check a domain I already own?
Yes. The domain report and the free tools run on any domain, not just ones listed here. No account, no limits.
Do you sell backlinks?
No, and we don't sell domains either. Revised is a directory of expired domains and their verified link history. You pay for access to the data.
How is this different from traditional link building?
Traditional link building means outreach, guest posts, or renting placements. Starting from an aged domain means inheriting history instead.
How does an expired domain help my SEO?
You start from a domain that already has referring domains, age and archive history, instead of building all three from zero.
How soon will I see an SEO impact after pointing my domain?
It varies, and nobody can promise a timeline. You're starting from existing authority rather than zero, but recrawling still takes time.
What are the key components of an SEO strategy?
Keyword research, content, on-page and technical SEO, authority, and measurement. Six parts, and they only work together.
Is SEO still relevant now that AI answers most questions?
Yes. AI search runs on the same trust signals as traditional search, so the work that earns rankings also earns citations.
Why do AI search results care about these sources?
The models behind ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews are trained on high-authority sources, and they lean on them when they answer.
