Revised

Connect Revised to ChatGPT

Connect the Revised MCP server to ChatGPT as a custom connector in developer mode, signed in over OAuth, or to the OpenAI API with a key.

The endpoint is https://getrevised.com/api/mcp.

Custom connector in ChatGPT (OAuth)

ChatGPT adds remote MCP servers as custom connectors, behind developer mode. Menu names and plan availability change; if a step below does not match your screen, look under Settings → Connectors (also labelled Apps) for an Advanced section.

  1. Turn on developer mode

    Open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and switch on Developer mode. On a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace an admin may need to allow it first.

  2. Create the connector

    Choose Create, name it Revised, and paste https://getrevised.com/api/mcp as the MCP server URL. Set authentication to OAuth and leave any client id or secret fields empty: Revised registers the client dynamically.

  3. Sign in

    ChatGPT sends you to the Revised sign-in. Sign in and accept the consent screen.

  4. Verify

    Start a new chat, add the connector from the composer’s tools menu, and ask: “What plan am I on with Revised?” ChatGPT should call whoami and report the plan, your reveal position and the rate limit.

ChatGPT asks you to confirm tool calls unless you tell it otherwise. Keep that confirmation on for reveal_domain (spends a reveal) and run_deep_check (spends credits).

The OpenAI API (API key)

The connector UI is OAuth only. For a script calling the OpenAI Responses API, pass the Revised key as the tool’s authorization value:

json
{
  "type": "mcp",
  "server_label": "revised",
  "server_url": "https://getrevised.com/api/mcp",
  "authorization": "rvd_yourprefix_yoursecret",
  "require_approval": "always"
}

Create the key at getrevised.com/account, free on every plan. OpenAI adds the Bearer prefix itself. Keep the key in an environment variable rather than in the request you commit.

Notes

  • Seventeen tools are exposed. See Tools.
  • The reveal position and the hold cap are the account’s, not the connector’s.
  • MCP calls and REST calls share one per-minute counter per key. See Rate limits.
  • If ChatGPT cannot reach the server, see When it does not connect.
