Expired Local Community domains with backlinks

Frequently asked questions

How do I find expired Local Community domains?

Browse this page. Every listing has been classified as Local Community from its archived content, has expired, is available to register, and has referring domains counted from our web crawl. Names are masked on Free, Starter and Pro, Business shows every name, and metrics are open. Reveal a listing to get its name, then register it at any registrar.

How is the category of an expired domain decided?

From what the site was. Each domain's archived pages are classified into one of the directory's categories, and only a confident classification is stored. A domain whose history is ambiguous shows no category and is not on this page.

Why does the category of an expired domain matter?

The topical fit is the point. Google's expired domain abuse policy targets expired domains repurposed to host unrelated content. A Local Community domain used for a new Local Community site keeps its history; the same domain used for something unrelated should not expect to.
