ExpiredDomains.net Alternatives (2026): Free and Paid Compared
Five expired-domain tools side by side, with free tier, starting price, the link metrics each shows and where they come from, and TLD coverage. Every cell was read from the vendor's own site in November 2026, and anything a vendor does not publish says so.
The closest alternatives to ExpiredDomains.net are DomCop, karma.domains and CatchDoms for metric-heavy lists, and the Revised directory for names that already have links and a spam screen. ExpiredDomains.net is free to browse with an account, and the paid tools start between about 15 and 98 US dollars a month. Which one fits depends on whether you want a raw list to filter yourself or a shorter list that is already checked. The table below is as at November 2026.
How do the ExpiredDomains.net alternatives compare?
Five tools, read on 5 November 2026 from each vendor's own pages. We name a link metric's source only when the vendor does. "Not published" means the page we read did not say.
| Tool | Free tier | Starting price | What it shows | TLD coverage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ExpiredDomains.net | Free account needed to see all domains and filters | Not published on the pages we read | Majestic CitationFlow and TrustFlow, SeoKicks DomainPop, backlinks, Wayback Machine records, search volume, Yandex SQI | "676 TLDs supported", 30 domain lists | Browsing very large raw lists and filtering them yourself |
| DomCop | No free trial. Free tools (domain age, bulk Domain Authority, drop dates) and a free email alert | $98 a month (Starter) | Trust Flow, Domain Authority, Domain Rating, age. Sources not named | Not published | A paid, single-user workflow with a crawler add-on |
| karma.domains | 5 free credits on sign-up; 10 free checks a day in the free tools | $14.99 for 99 credits, or $27.99 for 30 days unlimited | Karma Score, Ahrefs DR, Moz DA, Majestic TF and CF, SimilarWeb traffic, Wayback history. The page names each source | "1,220 distinct TLDs in all databases"; .com is 68.7% of domains | Pay-per-use lookups, and auction listings across many marketplaces |
| CatchDoms | Free plan: 10 visible domains, top 10 daily new listings, no CSV export | €39 a month (Pro) | TF, CF, DA, backlinks, referring domains, Wayback snapshots, auction price. The page does not name the data provider | Not published as a total; .com, .de, .nl, .org and .uk are the largest on the page | Auction-focused lists with a free preview |
| Revised | Free: browse and filter everything; free listings show their names, others are masked | $29 a month (Starter) | Revised Score, referring domains and site history from our own web crawl, Agent Citability, spam screen | 46,514 active listings as at 5 November 2026, 32,418 of them .com | Names that already carry links, without sifting a raw feed |
Prices and limits change, so check the vendor's page before you pay. CatchDoms prices in euros and the others in US dollars. Revised also has a Business plan at $249 a month. Our own figures are as at 5 November 2026.
Two drop sources sit outside this table because their pages did not return readable prices to us: DropCatch and GoDaddy Auctions. Both are routes to a name, not list-and-metric tools. Backorder vs DropCatch vs directory covers how they differ.
Which expired domain tool should you use?
Use the one that matches the job. The table has the facts, and these are our reads of them.
You want to browse everything and filter by hand. ExpiredDomains.net. It lists 676 TLDs and 30 domain lists, and an account is free. Expect to do the checking yourself.
You want the numbers Majestic, Moz and Ahrefs publish, per name. karma.domains shows all three by name and sells credits, so you pay for what you look up. DomCop shows Trust Flow, Domain Authority and Domain Rating on a flat monthly plan.
You are watching auctions. karma.domains lists auction price, bids and end time, and CatchDoms shows auction price and end date. Check bids on the marketplace itself before you commit.
You want names that already have links, and a shorter list. The Revised directory. Its listings have a referring-domain count from our own web crawl, a read of the archived site history, and a spam screen before anything is listed. It does not list every dropping name. It will not suit you if you want the whole drop feed.
You are checking one name. Skip the lists. The expired domain checker and backlink checker are free and need no signup.
What do free expired domain lists miss?
Free lists miss context. They give you a name and a number, and the number is often a count of links and not a reading of what the links are worth. The ExpiredDomains.net FAQ is plain about one limit, in its own words: domain data is gathered in advance and stored locally because live lookups are slow and rate-limited, and "values can change, so you should verify them before buying". That is a fair way to run a list. It also means the work of checking a name falls to you.
The checks a list cannot do for you are the ones that decide whether a name is worth registering. Whether the links come from pages about the subject you will publish. Whether the site history shows a spam era. Whether the name was ever penalised, which you cannot confirm before you own it. Find expired domains with traffic and how to find expired domains with backlinks cover the filters. The expired domain list guide shows where daily lists come from.
Using the Revised directory for this
Browse the directory of expired domains with backlinks. Start from the new listings hub, set a referring-domain floor, and filter by TLD or category. Free listings show their names. For the rest, a Starter plan unmasks every name, and availability is re-checked before anything is charged. We do not sell, hold or register domains. You register a name at the registrar you choose.
FAQ
What is the best free alternative to ExpiredDomains.net? CatchDoms has a free plan with 10 visible domains and the top 10 daily new listings. karma.domains gives 5 free credits on sign-up. The Revised directory is free to browse with filters, and free listings show their names.
Is ExpiredDomains.net free? Browsing is free with an account, according to its own site. The pages we read did not publish a price for any paid membership, so we do not give one.
How much does DomCop cost? $98 a month for Starter, $148 for Pro and $246 for Team, as at November 2026 on its pricing page. There is no free trial. It lists free tools and a free email alert.
Which expired domain tool uses Ahrefs or Majestic data? karma.domains names Ahrefs, Moz, Majestic, Semrush, SimilarWeb and Keywords Everywhere as sources. ExpiredDomains.net shows Majestic CitationFlow and TrustFlow. DomCop and CatchDoms show Trust Flow but do not name where the figures come from.
Do any of these tools tell you if a domain was penalised? No tool we read says it can confirm a manual action or an algorithmic penalty before you own the name. See Google manual actions and checking for a penalty before buying. A spam score or a read of the archived history lowers the risk. It does not remove it.
Are expired domain lists accurate? They are snapshots. ExpiredDomains.net says its data is gathered in advance and values can change. Check availability and metrics again at the registrar and in a link index before you pay.
